Youtube Channel?

Hey yall!

I know I’ve been gone for some months but life just happened lol. I’ve been super busy with school, but now that I’m out for the summer I have a lot more free time!

I just wanted to make a quick post posing a question. Do yall think I should make a youtube channel? Youtube is how I learned how to do makeup on myself and I thought it would be a great platform for me to just share my abilities I’ve learned over the years. Would you guys be interested in actually watching my videos? I might even be interested in doing some collabs if some of you have a channel of your own.

Please let me know in the comments if you would watch and what sort of videos I should make!

PS: I be back with my regular blog posts this week, don’t worry 🙂

The Power of Makeup

Hey y’all it’s Autumn!

Today I’m here with a post I’ve been debating writing for a couple of weeks now. As a lot of you may know, Nikkie Tutorials started the whole “power of makeup” videos. Basically to show that you don’t need makeup to make you feel beautiful and that you’re just as beautiful with it as you are without.

Personally, I go without makeup a lot more than I actually wear it. That being said, I feel like when I do where it I get a lot of comments like “OMG you’re makeup looks so good!” or “You should wear makeup more often!” I use makeup as a way to express myself. I love doing it and spending my time to make sure everything looks exactly how I want it.

Anyone who wears makeup, girl or boy, shouldn’t feel like they have to use makeup as a mask to cover up any of their flaws. Your flaws are what makes you beautiful. I do have things about me that I wish I could change just like anyone else, but I have learned to embrace them over the years. Something that you consider a flaw, someone else could love and wish they had that feature.

I just want all of you to know that you’re stunning with and without makeup. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you wear too little or too much makeup. If you feel comfortable wearing a full face of makeup everyday…. DO IT! If you only like to wear eyeliner and mascara on special occasions… DO IT!

I hope this made some people realize that makeup isn’t just about covering your flaws or feeling pretty, it’s a creative way that people expressive themselves. All of you are gorgeous inside and out ✨

The Struggle is Real: There’s Life After College?!

Hey gals and gents! It’s Autumn back with a rather random post.

As many of you know I am a  sophomore college student. I’m currently majoring in sociology and since I’m just starting to get into my major I’ve begun taking my intro level classes. One class I’m taking is Intro to Social Services and today we talked a lot about what exactly we want to do once we get our bachelor’s degree. I know that I want to be a mental health and suicide prevention counselor but I haven’t really thought about grad school plans, getting my MSW, or anything like that.

A little background…. I want to be a mental health and suicide prevention counselor because those kind of things have always been fascinating to me. Learning about depression, schizophrenia, and everything like that is so cool to me. Obviously it’s not cool that people have these problems, I just enjoy learning about them. To most people’s surprise I don’t want to do anything related to makeup or beauty. That’s because my heart has been with helping others for as long as I can remember. Whether I changed my mind from being a teacher, therapist, psychologist… it always had something to do with helping others.

I’m getting to the point in my college career where I don’t have much time left to change my major without losing credits. Sociology is what my heart is in but at 20 years old it’s so hard to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life. I’m interested in soooo many things!

The fact that I’ve been in school the majority of my life makes it weird to think that there’s actually a world outside of school. A world where I’m not constantly studying for tests and keeping track of hoe many more classes I can miss before my grade drops. It’s scary to think about, but also really exciting.

This was really just a ranting/venting session for me because life is just really confusing sometimes! Let me know down below if any of you have struggled with the same or similar things!

Morphe Mini Haul!

Hey y’all it’s Autumn!

I recently just received my first ever products from Morphe!!! I know I’m very late 😅 I’ve known about Morphe for years I’ve just never got around to trying out their products.

This is an extremely mini haul… all I purchased was their new translucent setting powder and the small contour/chisel brush (M141). I was really excited to try out the setting powder since it is a new item, and it was only about $8. I’m really interested to see how it compares to the Laura Mercier setting powder and Sacha buttercup.   I bought the brush because I have no contour brushes surprisingly. I just use the blush brush from Coastal Scents that I’ve had for a while. I needed something that was skinnier, and more tapered.   I hope I fall in love with these products and buy more from Morphe! I’ll let y’all know what my thoughts are after I use them a couple of times!

Lifestyle Change- week 1

Hey y’all it’s Autumn! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and is ready to get back to work and/or school tomorrow!

I just got back to school and decided to FINALLY start my lifestyle change. What really got to me and made me realize that it’s time to start is that I went home this weekend and tried on my junior year prom dress and it didn’t fit. I know you may be thinking “Autumn you were 17 then and 20 now…of course it doesn’t fit” I’m just a person that thinks of the worst case scenario and I just thought about what if 3 years from now I’m twice the size that I am now! I’ve only gained 2 pants sizes since I was 17, and I’ll be 21 at the end of the year, so I guess it’s not too bad. I’m not doing this too necessarily lose weight, just to really feel better about what’s going in my body and tone up!

I spent $57.90 at the store on food today. I also got a pack of Dasani water that’s not pictured. I mostly bought snacks and salad and chicken for dinner. I eat lunch on campus during the week so I didn’t buy anything to eat for lunch. Our cafeterias do have healthy options so I’m just going to have to stray away from the junk 😅 I didn’t buy that much because I was on a tighter budget. I do get paid this week so I might try to go back and pick up a couple more things. This should all last me a week to a week and a half.

I encourage anyone else who’s thought about having a lifestyle change to START NOW! It’s never too late and you shouldn’t push it back any longer. I’ll be updating you guys on my weekly progress so wish me luck!

I’m Back!

Hey y’all it’s Autumn!

First off, I wanted to apologize for not uploading this past week. I’ve felt so drained and stressed from school since I had a few tests the past week. I’ve also felt very uninspired when it comes to blog ideas so I’d rather not post bad content rather then just have something up I’m not proud of.

Anywayssssss…😅

Tomorrow I plan on getting more into my lifestyle / fitness goal, eating healthy. I’ll be on my way back to school tomorrow after spending the weekend at home. I’m going grocery shopping so I’ll have a post about healthy food options and meal ideas. I also just got a couple items from Morphe so I’ll do a mini haul on those! So stay tuned for that!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends so far, talk to you guys later!

Valentine’s Day Makeup and Outfit Idea

Hey yall! It’s Autumn back with another post!

Before I get started, this post is in collaboration with Paris, so be sure to check out her Valentine’s Day look and follow her if you aren’t already!

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m living up the single life for yet another Valentine’s Day… gotta love it. That being said, I don’t have any big plans coming up but this is just a little look I put together. I was going for an outfit I would wear to a very nice dinner and then a glam, neutral look since the dress is so simple in color.

For the makeup look I’m just going to focus on the eyes. If yall would like a more in depth look at how I do my face makeup, let me know in the comments!

I was trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new. I wanted to attempt a cut crease look. Bare with me because this is my very first time trying it. I’ve seen Jaclyn Hill and Jackie Aina do them recently so I thought why not give it a try.

In the crease I used the darkest brown shade from my Smashbox Full Exposure travel size palette ($24). I then used Whiskey (the matte brown) from the Naked Smoky palette ($52) over and slightly under that. Any shadow that got on my lid, I just used a q-tip and some eye makeup remover to quickly remove it.

For the lid, I first started with Combust from the Naked Smoky palette as a base. Then comes my favorite part… STILA METALLIC FOILED EYE SHADOW ($32)! So here’s the funny thing.. I have actually owned this shadow since September but this is my first time actually using it. I’ve been wanting to buy it just because it’s so gorgeous but I for one was a little intimidated by it. You can either use it as is or put a few drops of the solution it comes with on top to use it wet for an even bolder, more dramatic look. For this look I decided to use it wet just for that extra pop. Due to my lighting it looks very gold in this picture, but it is actually more copper/bronze. Game Face by Colorpop is a great dupe for this as well. Just because I haven’t used this palette either, I decided to pack a little bit of Rose Gold from my Lorac Metal Pro palette ($28) into my inner lid.

Then I continued with my usual winged liner using the Maybelline line stiletto liquid liner ($8) and my all time favorite mascara… Great Lash ($5). I know it’s the most basic of basic mascaras but I love it better than any high end mascara I’ve ever tried. Here’s the completed look!

For my outfit I just went with a fitted white lace dress. I bought this last year at a store called Scarlett that’s in the mall nearest to me back home. Unfortunately, I have no information on this dress and I’m not even sure if any other malls have a Scarlett. I paired it with a black pair of Steve Madden heels. I decided not to go with a necklace because I felt that with the dramatic eye look and the lace pattern on the dress, it would just be too much.

That’s my completed outfit and makeup look! I hope all of you have a fantastic Valentine’s Day whether you’re spending it with friends or with your loved one. Thanks for reading! Please let me know what you thought in the comments down below

Self Care

It’s Friday night and what am I doing…sitting in my apartment. As odd as it may seem, I’m completely okay with that. I haven’t really gone out much this semester compared to how much I usually do on the weekends. I’ve been spending a lot of time in my room which is very weird for me because usually I don’t like being alone because I’m such a people person.

With all this time alone I’ve realized that it’s OKAY to be alone! All I’ve been doing is catching up on my Netflix shows and doing all this homework I have but it hasn’t been too bad. I’ve gotten so much done its insane.

This post really has no main point to it, I just want everyone to know that it’s essentially to your health to take care of your body. Not only physically, but mentally as well. That means different things for different people but please everyone, take care of your body!

I got new lashes!

I FINALLY got my hands on the Ardell Demi Whispies. I know they’re only $4.99 but I just always forget to pick them up when I go to CVS. I’ll be using them in my makeup look I’ll be posting later tonight so be on the lookout for that! For those of you that have these…what are your thoughts??
